Essie Cute as a Button ~ Nail Polish ~ Gorgeous Pinky Coral for Spring & Summer

One of my favorite Coral Pinks is Essie's Cute as a Button! It looks perfect on fair skin tones but it also looks amazing on a tan. With Spring here and Summer in just a few months you can't go wrong with this color :)

Actual Color Swatch

I used Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength No Chip as a top coat. The Diamond Strength adds a nice shine and it usually prolongs my Essie polish a few extra days.

(Sorry the photos are a little fuzzy, my camera battery was low and the lighting wasn't great :)

I matched Essie's Cute as a Button with a Turquoise Sundress, Coral Tory Burch Clutch, Coral Espadrilles Wedges, neutral makeup, and Korres Pomegrante lip color for a cute Spring look.

Essie's Cute as a Button polish may not be in the current rotation but you can always find this little gem on eBay!

Tell us! Which polish color is your favorite for Spring?

Cutie Cutie Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie ~ Perfect for the AM ~ So Yum!

I've been eating a lot of fast food the last few days and haven't been feeling so hot. My body was lacking nutrition and energy so on Friday when I was making out my grocery list for the weekend, I decided I wanted to incorporate lots of awesome smoothies and homemade juices for the week. I love delicious and fruity smoothies in the morning and power Green juices in the afternoon. They make me feel so good!

I was a good girl at the grocery store and got all my fruits, veggies, salmon, fish, fermented foods, nuts and restocked on some great oils (coconut oil for everything) and Jojoba for my hair and skin.

I started using Coconut oil years ago when I found out how great it is for cooking, and topically on your body. I keep discovering more and more ways to use Coconut oil on the internet and in alternative medicine books and I am going to make a post soon on all the information I've learned on Coconut oil! So keep an eye out for that, you definitely don't want to miss it. :)

This morning I made a Strawberry, Banana and Orange smoothie and it turned out so yum! Every year I buy a box or two of Cutie oranges and it seems like there are hundreds of them in the refrigerator and I have to find uses for them. They substitute well for oranges in smoothies! I pretty much guesstimate all the ingredients amounts when I'm making these things but here is the approximate recipe I used. :)

The Cutie Cutie Strawberry Banana Protein

1.5 Cup Coconut Milk
1/2 Cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt
1 Scoop of your Favorite Protein Powder
6 Large Strawberries, Remove Tops
1 Large Banana
1/2 frozen banana
2 "Cuties" oranges or 1 Small Orange, peeled
1/2 cup Ice
a squeeze of fresh lemon juice (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a blender (I use a Ninja!) and blend until smooth and creamy!

This makes a fairly large batch (filled up my Qt. mason jar) so you can cut portion in half and store the other portion for later if desired.

Let me know if you like this recipe! Enjoy! :)

Olay Soothing Cucumber Massaging Body Bar Review ~ Moxie Beauty Bath & Body Review

Hello Moxie Beauties!

I was shopping the Target soap aisle last week looking for a new soap to try that was both refreshing for the warm weather we've been having, yet moisturizing for dry winter skin! I came across this Olay Soothing Cucumber bar with interesting massage design and decided it just might be perfect! ;) I've been using this soap for a while now, so here's my review!

This review is for Olay Soothing Cucumber Massaging Body Bar.

The Scent:
What I love most about this Soap is the scent! If you're a fan of Bath and Body's Cucumber Melon you're going to love it! The Cucumber scent is strong yet pleasant and not overpowering. The Cucumber scent is very Spa like! It's calming and neutral. The scent is just perfect for Spring and Summer and will be oh so refreshing in hot weather! :)

The Lather:
Even though this is a glycerin/oil based and not a creamy/oil based soap, it does manage to still create a good lather for the bath Poof or Loofah.

The Ingredients:
sodium palmate, sodium palm kernelate, water/eau, glycerin, sorbitol, palm kernel acid, fragrance/parfum, cucumis sativus (cucumber) fruit extract, persea gratissima (avocado) oil, mentha piperita (peppermint) leaf, sodium chloride, tetrasodium edta, tetrasodium etidronate, iron oxides, yellow 10, green 3.

The ingredients in this soap doesn't qualify to make it into our beloved Green Beauty category but the ingredients are impressive for a Drugstore Non-Organic product. Olay products are known to be generally quality and trustworthy.

What About That Massage Bead Design?
When I first opened the box and seen the design, I figured the massage bead design will have almost no lasting power. Normally I use my bar soap on a Poof or Loofah and rarely ever right onto the body itself. I tried using this on different areas and it didn't really do much. I thought maybe it would be good for helping as a cellulite massage...not really. But I did discover that this little soap does big things on your tooties! This massage bead design was destined for the bottoms of your feet! If you have tired and aching feet use this bar on the bottoms. Ohhh so so Heavenly! Definitely makes it all worth while. :) As far as the Massage Bead lasting power, expect to get 1 or 2 uses out of this bar and they will be completely washed away. :(

The Lasting Power:
I would rate the Lasting Power a solid 4! I can smell the scent on my skin hours after a shower. It's a clean, refreshing after scent. Would be perfect if you're taking a shower before you'll be outdoors and sweating and also perfect for after a workout! It will leave you feeling clean and refreshed. :)

Was this soap true to it's description?
The product promises to be Refreshing, Soothing, Massaging and Moisturizing. It definitely does all four of those things! My skin felt moisturized and clean, not dry and flakey or like there was any residue left behind. Another great product Olay!

Moxie Rates This Olay Soothing Cucumber Massaging Body Bar:
4 Kisses!

If you'd like to try this soap but are unable to locate it in store, eBay always is always a great place to look :)

If you're wanting to try this soap but are not a fan of Cucumber the back of the box says they have other scents in the massage design. Luscious Embrace (Orchid), Silk Whimsy (Peony) and Purely Pristine (Clean). I want to try them all! :)

Tell us! What's your favorite Olay product?

Victoria's Secret Gorgeous Perfume Review ~ Eau De Parfum ~ Strawberry, Sandalwood

Hey there Gorgeous ;)
This review is for one of my favorite Victoria's Secret Perfumes ~ Gorgeous! I have a lot to say about this Perfume so let's get started!
Isn't this bottle Gorgeous!? :)
This perfume and I have a love/tolerate ;) relationship. When it first came out I got a sample size as a free gift to an order I placed a few years ago. When I first smelled it I was in love and I knew I had to get the full size. I ended up using my sample size bottle and then I forgot about it for awhile.

Recently I seen it's been discontinued and I remembered how much I loved it so I logged in to trusty eBay to search for a bottle. (The price was awesome by the way, they're about 40% off normal Victoria's Secret prices if you're interested in getting a bottle. Right now the market is flooded with bottles but soon they'll be hard to find and expensive. :(

I got my bottle in the mail about a week ago and since then have been using it daily! There are some things I'm loving and some I don't like about this perfume.

The Packaging
First off, I love the appearance of the perfume bottle and packaging. The pink is so pretty and looks adorable on my vanity. It really stands out among the other perfumes. :) The Atomizer (I call it the Puffer) is very old Hollywood Glamour and adds some cute sophistication to the bottle's appearance.

Unfortunately the Puffer doesn't work very well :(
I'm not sure if it's like this on all bottles but my puffer doesn't like to Puff and it takes some vigorous puffing of the puffer to get some scent out. So, that's not great.

The Scent
 Perfume Notes:
Top:
Wild Strawberry, Mandarin Orange
Middle:
 Jasmine, Freesia
Base:
 Musk & Sandalwood

At first it's very fruity from the Wild Strawberry. Immediately after you smell a strong floral scent consisting of the Jasmine and Freesia, Musk, and Sandalwood. In my opinion all of these scents are very apparent. I can smell each one individually. Very Sweet, Floral then a Sandalwood-Musk. I think the scent is light, very clean and flirty. It reminds me a lot of Very Wang Princess and Viva La Juicy.  I would consider this a Spring & Summer daytime wear scent. Perfect for an evening date, especially to the movies because your date won't need a gas mask, hehe ;) (Guys hate being fumigated! :)

Meanwhile,
Lindsay Ellingson is Gorgeous!
Projection & Lasting Power
The projection on this perfume is fair, my boyfriend says he hardly notices it and unfortunately the scent disappears almost completely within a few hours! If I spray it on myself before I leave, my boyfriend will get in the car and he says it's not very noticeable  I can hardly smell it on my scarf (an item I sprayed) the next day. The scent dissipates rather quickly.

Overall
Overall this Perfume has a few problems from the Puffer to the lasting power however, the cuteness of the bottle and the scent itself makes it worth buying! I rate this perfume 4 Kisses ;) The lasting power can easily be fixed by just carrying the bottle in your handbag and reapplying every few hours. :)

Would I purchase Victoria's Secret Gorgeous again?
I would definitely purchase this Perfume again. I love the scent! :)

I hope this review helped you decide if you'd like to try Victoria's Secret Gorgeous. I'd love you to leave your take on this perfume in the comments below! Which VS perfume is your favorite? ;)

Spring Break 2013! eBay Haul ~ Beauty & Accessories ~ Fashion Steals & Where to Buy!

 Hello gorgeous ;)
This week I'm featuring a happy little eBay Haul focused on a few Beauty & Accessory items perfect for Spring Break! I'll also post some links where you can purchase a few of these items on the CHEAP! :) We love Fab Affordable Fashion and eBay is one of the very best places to find steals on amazing items! ;)

Most of these arrived together on the same day and I'm still waiting on a few others but here's what I got!

Some of these items are refills for beauty empties but a few I'm trying for the first time. Some of these products are going to be used for
Spring Break Must Haves!

Spring Break Must Have #1 ~ Awesome Beach Bag:
Last year, I had a really pretty Nautica brand cotton beach bag and it ended up getting stained and destroyed from a bottle of tanning oil that spilled all over inside my bag. I couldn't get the oil stain out so I had to toss it :( The next bag I buy for the beach is going to be durable and wipable. So when I was searching eBay for Moroccan oil (another essential!:) in travel friendly bottles I came across this gorgeous Moroccan Oil Tote bag. It's nice and roomy, easy to carry and when I'm done using it this summer I'm going to use it to store all my hair color supplies. It's a gorgeous ocean blue and orange and will look sexy with a tan! ;) It cost me $9.99 + a few dollars shipping on eBay...Love!

Spring Break Must Have #2 ~ Flip Flops: Inexpensive But Stylish Sandals
If I'm going to be hanging out on the rough beach sand I'll usually bring a pair of Old Navy basic flip flops (in white!) but when I'm bar hopping at night I want something a little more classy. ;) It's important to bring flip flops that can afford to get worn or damaged. Swarovski crystal flip flops are one of my favorite sandals to wear but they cost a good $50 and I'm always losing stones :( I checked eBay and  found these gorgeous flip flops for under $9.00 + a few dollars shipping! Awesome deal!

The sparkly rhinstones seem to all be attached to one 'band' which makes them a lot more durable in the sand. So it doesn't look like I'm going to lose any. They still have a nice sparkle and look nice dressed up with jeans or cute shorts. They have a comfy cushion too! They are available on eBay! See Item Here!

Spring Break Must #3: Leave Our (Much Loved) Giant Purse at Home! :)
Huge purses have no place in your Spring Break! Traveling light is not only easier but there's also some kind of zen phenomena that occurs when I'm separated from my enormous purse. First there's serious separation anxiety but after the initial scare, feelings of an immense liberation follows, like we're a whole new woman and we're free from our burden! hehe! :) But really, when I looked in my closet and seen that I had sold off all of my tiny purses and wristlets, I headed over to eBay to find a cute wristlet or wallet in a bright, fun color that I could carry without a purse. Since I don't have anything Pink I decided to buy this adorable pink wallet in 'Watermelon Red'. It was only $7.99 with free shipping! The inside is so cute! They have many colors and you can purchase here! on eBay.

Spring Break Must #4: Light on Products, Big on Beauty!
If you travel during Spring Break I'd recommend purchasing your beauty loot in Travel sizes. I purchased these Victoria's Secret lotions and Moroccan Oils in tiny travel sizes because they meet TSA's size requirements for traveling via plane. 2oz sizes are also great for trying new products and they're an affordable way to use high end products if you're on a budget ;)

I ordered some great Spring scents in small sizes for easy packing:
Moroccan Oil Samples in Reg & Light
Victoria's Secret Hello Darling Lotion
Victoria's Secret Such a Flirt lotion
Victoria's Secret Wild Citrus Sunflower Lotion
Victoria's Secret Secret Charm
Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Lotion

Here are some links where all of these products are available to purchase. Some of them are Limited Edition so they won't be around long :( Each photo is clickable and the links take you to Amazon.com :)
A few of the other items pictured are a Large size Beauty Rush Pool Party in Pina Colada
And a Random Merry Merry Pink Lotion. I only paid about $4 for each!
(The Merry Merry Pink lotion is limited edition so I have to buy it while I can. Smells awesome! ;)

I'll be posting reviews on these Victoria's Secret scents, some I'm really liking and some of them not so much. That's that beauty of sample sizes! :)

I hope you enjoyed this spring break 'Must Haves' post. We'll be following up with another full length 'Spring Break Essentials' on Beauty, Fashion and Travel to help you prepare for a flawless vacation!
