Raspberry Peach Lemonade Cooler

Perfect for summer bbq's, get-togethers and backyard mixers. Sweet raspberry meets creamy peach with the tartness of ice cold lemonade. This beverage is refreshing, beautiful and so simple to put together.

What you'll need:
  • 12 oz serving simply lemonade™ in raspberry
  • 1 blue bell all natural fruit bars™ in peach
Directions:
  1. For each serving pour 12 ounces of simply lemonade raspberry into serving glass. (we love the classic quaintness of the mason jar)
  2. Next cut the fruit bar into cube like pieces.
  3. Add fruit cubes to lemonade and serve.

enjoy!

Starbucks Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino Review ~ Starbucks Happy Hour!

My boyfriend and I are really obsessed with Caramel Frappuccinos so when we heard about the new Starbucks Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frap that came out Friday, we were in line at 3pm to try one! ;)

So what's the verdict....?

IT'S AMAZING.

So what is difference between a Caramel Frappuccino and a Ribbon Crunch you say?

Well not too much ingredient wise, except the Caramel Ribbon Crunch is like a regular Caramel but on steroids. There's lots of extra caramel ribboned and swirled around on the inside. It's like when you ask for extra caramel on the bottom. On the whip cream they also add these crunchy little caramel-y Brown Sugar tasting sugar balls.

In a nut-shell: It's sugar on top of sugar on top of sugar. :) Yum!

nom nom nom
It's definitely more indulgent than a regular Frapp and is something that should probably be enjoyed sparingly. Personally I won't be abandoning my regular Caramel Frappuccino for this, the Caramel Ribbon Crunch is much too decadent. My boyfriend on the other hand, has declared this his new drink of choice. :)

Not only is the new Frappuccino delicious but Starbucks is also featuring Starbucks Happy Hour all week long! One of my favorite times of the year! This year, from May 3 - 12 between 3pm and 5pm you can get half price Frapps so it's a perfect time to try something new or get your standby on the cheap.

We also shared a Green Tea Frapp for the heck of it! Boyfriend didn't like, he said it tasted like grass or wheat grass (I think he means green tea leaves ;) I love it though! yum!

noms.
I will definitely be making a few more stops this week before Frappy hour is over. The only thing not to love? Timing. Why oh why do they do this right before Summer :(

We need to petition Starbucks and ask them to move this til after Swimsuit season. Like the start of Fall. So perfect! And starting THIS Fall! ;)

What do you ladies think?

Cutie Cutie Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie ~ Perfect for the AM ~ So Yum!

I've been eating a lot of fast food the last few days and haven't been feeling so hot. My body was lacking nutrition and energy so on Friday when I was making out my grocery list for the weekend, I decided I wanted to incorporate lots of awesome smoothies and homemade juices for the week. I love delicious and fruity smoothies in the morning and power Green juices in the afternoon. They make me feel so good!

I was a good girl at the grocery store and got all my fruits, veggies, salmon, fish, fermented foods, nuts and restocked on some great oils (coconut oil for everything) and Jojoba for my hair and skin.

I started using Coconut oil years ago when I found out how great it is for cooking, and topically on your body. I keep discovering more and more ways to use Coconut oil on the internet and in alternative medicine books and I am going to make a post soon on all the information I've learned on Coconut oil! So keep an eye out for that, you definitely don't want to miss it. :)

This morning I made a Strawberry, Banana and Orange smoothie and it turned out so yum! Every year I buy a box or two of Cutie oranges and it seems like there are hundreds of them in the refrigerator and I have to find uses for them. They substitute well for oranges in smoothies! I pretty much guesstimate all the ingredients amounts when I'm making these things but here is the approximate recipe I used. :)

The Cutie Cutie Strawberry Banana Protein

1.5 Cup Coconut Milk
1/2 Cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt
1 Scoop of your Favorite Protein Powder
6 Large Strawberries, Remove Tops
1 Large Banana
1/2 frozen banana
2 "Cuties" oranges or 1 Small Orange, peeled
1/2 cup Ice
a squeeze of fresh lemon juice (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a blender (I use a Ninja!) and blend until smooth and creamy!

This makes a fairly large batch (filled up my Qt. mason jar) so you can cut portion in half and store the other portion for later if desired.

Let me know if you like this recipe! Enjoy! :)

Four New Year's Eve Drinks Under 200 Cals! Fancy, Fruity & Bubbly!

I have a few solid plans for tomorrow night (New Year's Eve) and they are to Eat, Drink & be Merry! Those would be most people's Holiday plans but I didn't get to celebrate Christmas so I'm making up for it on New Years Eve. It's still technically the Holidays anyway right? :)

I've also been making great progress on some weight loss that I don't want to blow so I did some digging to find some great drinks us ladies watching our calories can indulge in. Fancy, fruity and bubbly, a drink for every taste:

Fancy:
Pomegranate Martini
A 4oz serving made with pomegranate vodka and pure pomegranate juice (about 50/50) only has 185 calories! Delicious and full of antioxidants.

Red Wine
A glass of red wine boasts 120 delicious calories per 5 ounces. Remember a jumbo glass can hold 10 ounces or more so remember glass half full ;)

Fruity:
Strawberry Daiquiri
You can whip up your own low calorie daiquiri using frozen fruit with no added sugar. Strawberries make a perfect choice because they're naturally sweet. Mix three partially thawed berries in blender with ice, half oz lime juice and one and half shot of Rum. Add a little water to blend and you're set for 195 calories!

Bubbly:
Champagne
Pour Champagne into flutes and add a few raspberries. Pretty, delicious and only 100 calories per 5 ounce glass. Your best drink option! You can also make your own spritzer with club soda and ice added to white wine.

4 Delicious drinks under 200! I'll toast to that!
Happy New Year Moxie Beauty Friends! :)
