Raspberry Peach Lemonade Cooler

Perfect for summer bbq's, get-togethers and backyard mixers. Sweet raspberry meets creamy peach with the tartness of ice cold lemonade. This beverage is refreshing, beautiful and so simple to put together.

What you'll need:
  • 12 oz serving simply lemonade™ in raspberry
  • 1 blue bell all natural fruit bars™ in peach
Directions:
  1. For each serving pour 12 ounces of simply lemonade raspberry into serving glass. (we love the classic quaintness of the mason jar)
  2. Next cut the fruit bar into cube like pieces.
  3. Add fruit cubes to lemonade and serve.

enjoy!

Starbucks Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino Review ~ Starbucks Happy Hour!

My boyfriend and I are really obsessed with Caramel Frappuccinos so when we heard about the new Starbucks Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frap that came out Friday, we were in line at 3pm to try one! ;)

So what's the verdict....?

IT'S AMAZING.

So what is difference between a Caramel Frappuccino and a Ribbon Crunch you say?

Well not too much ingredient wise, except the Caramel Ribbon Crunch is like a regular Caramel but on steroids. There's lots of extra caramel ribboned and swirled around on the inside. It's like when you ask for extra caramel on the bottom. On the whip cream they also add these crunchy little caramel-y Brown Sugar tasting sugar balls.

In a nut-shell: It's sugar on top of sugar on top of sugar. :) Yum!

nom nom nom
It's definitely more indulgent than a regular Frapp and is something that should probably be enjoyed sparingly. Personally I won't be abandoning my regular Caramel Frappuccino for this, the Caramel Ribbon Crunch is much too decadent. My boyfriend on the other hand, has declared this his new drink of choice. :)

Not only is the new Frappuccino delicious but Starbucks is also featuring Starbucks Happy Hour all week long! One of my favorite times of the year! This year, from May 3 - 12 between 3pm and 5pm you can get half price Frapps so it's a perfect time to try something new or get your standby on the cheap.

We also shared a Green Tea Frapp for the heck of it! Boyfriend didn't like, he said it tasted like grass or wheat grass (I think he means green tea leaves ;) I love it though! yum!

noms.
I will definitely be making a few more stops this week before Frappy hour is over. The only thing not to love? Timing. Why oh why do they do this right before Summer :(

We need to petition Starbucks and ask them to move this til after Swimsuit season. Like the start of Fall. So perfect! And starting THIS Fall! ;)

What do you ladies think?

Tell us! Which Frappuccino flave' is your fave'?

Homemade Banana "Ice Cream"! ~ So Easy, One Ingredient! Make This Treat for Under 200 Cals!

What's the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth and use up some overly ripe Bananas?

Homemade Banana "Ice Cream"! :)

Did you know the longer a Banana ripens the more nutrient dense it becomes? Fortunately there are a lot of great things we can make with ripe bananas including smoothies, breads and this delicious ice cream. I make this ice cream often and wanted to share with you just how easy it is to prepare. The best part is, this great dessert is under 200 calories so you can feel good about indulging without over-indulging. A perfect treat just in time for Summer!

What You'll Need:

Ripe Bananas - about 1 per serving (100 Calories Each)
Freezer bags - to freeze slices
A good Blender - I used a Ninja

Optional:
My Favorite Chocolate Sauce Ever!
Photo Courtesy of Jen's Zen FB
Toppings of your Choice
I used a Newman's Own Oreo Cookie as a topper (65 Calories)
2 tablespoons of Almond milk Blended with Bananas (10 calories)
(Milk isn't necessary to add, just optional)
Jen's Zen Chocolate Sauce for Decor (& for tasty :) (15 calories)

Making the Ice Cream: (4 Servings)

You'll need 4 Ripe Bananas, Some Freezer Bags, and a Plate & Knife for Slicing Bananas

Peel and Slice bananas into med-thin slices. Divide slices into two small freezer bags and freeze for atleast an hour until bananas are frozen.
(Seperating slices into 2 bags instead of one large bag, helps prevent slices from sticking to each other, making them blend smoother and slices freeze faster.)

Blend on High about 1 minute until texture is creamy and smooth.

You can even mix in your favorite ingredients during this process for an even yummier treat. Try Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Toffee Pieces, Candy, Cookie Pieces, Fresh Fruit like Strawberries, Pineapple, Mango. The possibilities are endless. :)

Stir Ice Cream and Serve!
Kids love this Ice Cream! Serve in bowl or scoop a super cold mixture onto cones for Summer pefect Ice Cream cones!

This banana ice cream is rich and decadent, so a little bit goes a long way. Enjoy! :)

Tempting Treats: Yum Yum Snickerdoodles - Easy to Make & Delicious!

Homemade Snickerdoodles: Best Recipe Found! Easy too :)

What's one of my favorite things about Fall? Snickerdoodles! Yes Snickerdoodles....those yummy perfectly crispy chewy, cinnamony soft delicious cookies always remind me of the start of fall time. Pumpkins, fall leaves and apple cider candles, & Snickerdoodles. <3

I've been looking around for the perfect Snickerdoodle recipe because they're my most favorite cookie and my boyfriend recently told me they were his as well (Sounds like this love is going to last! :) I've made some different recipes in the past but they never turned out quite right. I've been relying on Paradise Bakery for my Snickerdoodle fix until now. This recipe is so easy to make and turns out so delicious. From one Snickerdoodle lover to another.

Rediculously Delicious Snickerdoodles

oh so good.
Ingredients:

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

The Cream of Tarter is very important!

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs thoroughly in a large mixing bowl. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Blend dry ingredients and vanilla extract into butter mixture. Chill dough, and chill an ungreased cookie sheet for about 10-15 minutes in the fridge. Meanwhile, mix 3 tablespoons sugar, and 3 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl. Scoop 1 inch spoonfuls of dough and make into small balls. Roll into the sugar/ cinnamon mixture. Coat by gently rolling balls of dough in the sugar mixture. Place on chilled ungreased cookie sheet, and bake 10 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.

If you can, chill up to 3 cookie pans in advance as having a cold cookie sheet to put the cold dough balls on to bake is the secret to getting the perfect Snickerdoodle. (Never put a hot cookie sheet into your refrigerator. :) Feel free to completely cover each dough ball in Cinnamon/Sugar mixture as you can never have too much! Traditional recipes normally don't call for the Vanilla extract but I think the subtle vanilla flavor really makes the cookie perfect.

so Yum.... :)

I hope you enjoy! If you try this recipe, please leave a comment, I would love to know how it turns out for you! Thanks for reading!
